 Part A: 25 Hours Classroom instructions)

 

Location: NSCC Ivany Campus (waterfront), Dartmouth

                 80 Mawiomi Pl, Dartmouth, NS B2Y 0A5

 6 days in person Lectures: 12:00 Noon to 4:15 pm

Complete Drivers Education Course (Certificate Programme)

Students need to complete all 4 full colors to finish all topics:

Red 1 and 2

Yellow 1 and 2

Green 1 and 2

Blue 1 and 2

Part B: 10 hours in-car training (one on one) 5 x 2 hours each lesson. You must have your Learner’s License with you. Students will either text, email, or call to schedule.

A certificate will be issued for the completion of the course after the two parts are finished and pass the course written test. 

The benefits of taking The Driver Education Course (Certificate Programme):

  1. Avoid learning bad habits; learn proper techniques the first time.
  2. Decrease the wait time between getting your learner's permit and taking the road exam from one year to 9 months.
  3. Remove the N off of your license after 2 years to get an R license. After another 2 years to get a full class 5 license.
  4. Cut insurance costs - the course gives you an equivalent of 3 years’ experience for insurance purposes.
  5. Learn to drive defensively.

Option 1: One payment:    $690.00 ($600.00 + $90.00 Taxes)

                                        $345.00 on 1st in-car lesson ($300.00 + $45.00 Taxes)

Extra lessons at a discount rate after the 10 hours if needed: $55.00/hour taxes included.

***Vehicle usage for provincial road test: $52.17 + $7.83 Taxes = $60.00***
